Stevie Nicks is showing the way! Stevie has had a huge impact on fans all around the world since joining Fleetwood Mac in 1975. Not only is the band’s second album with Stevie, Rumours, one of the best-selling records of all time, but Fleetwood Mac has also won a Grammy for Album of the Year for Rumours in 1978, and the record also earned them nominations for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Best Arrangement for Voices for the single “Go Your Own Way.” The following year, they were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 1981, though, the “Edge of Seventeen” singer decided to go solo and released Bella Donna, which went on to become a huge success. Stevie later released seven more solo efforts afterward.

All in all, the hitmaker has sold over 140 million records worldwide and remains a force to be reckoned with. Now, in her 70s, Stevie said she has no plans on retiring any time soon. “At [my] ripe and totally young age, my voice hasn’t changed,” she told Rolling Stone in February 2019. “As long as I take care of myself, I am still going to be doing this when I’m 80.”

The “Landslide” musician jokingly added her age has only pushed her to do more things that are out of her comfort zone. “I tell myself, ‘Do it now, because you’re spry, you’re in good shape, you can still do the splits, you can still dance on stage and wear a short skirt and six-inch heels,'” she shared.

Because Stevie is all about performing, she isn’t worried about not having time for a boyfriend. The “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” songstress — who was married to ex-husband Kim Anderson for three months in 1983 — said it’s her “choice” to not make romance a priority at this point in her life.

“I’m not in a relationship and haven’t been in one for a long time,” she told the outlet. “When I was 20, 30, 40, I always had a boyfriend — always. But I have decided I’m just going to be free and follow my muse and do whatever I want … because I can.”

On Her Decision to Not Have a Family
