Sofia Vergara Shares Sweet Photo of Son Manolo With His Friends and Family on His 27th Birthday
Actress Sofia Vergara is one proud mom! On Sunday, September 16, she took to Instagram to wish her only son, Manolo Gonzalez-Ripoll Vergara, a happy 27th birthday.
“Happy bday @manologonzalezvergara we luv uuu❤️❤️❤️❤️,” the Modern Family star wrote alongside two sweet pics of Manolo with his family.
Sofia’s husband, Joe Manganiello, was also spotted in the photo standing next to his wife, and once Manolo saw the heartwarming pic, he shared eight red heart emojis and one of a woman dancing in the comments section.
Sofia, 47, shares her son with her first husband, Joe Gonzalez. The pair got married in 1991 before they called it quits two years later. In 2015, the actress married her now-husband, Joe, 42, and they have been together ever since. When she was previously asked about welcoming a child with the Magic Mike XXL actor by The Edit Magazine, Sofia admitted that she’s not against the idea.
“I wouldn’t mind another child,” she said. “The idea of doing it all again doesn’t scare me. But, hey, it’s not like it’s going to happen naturally, is it?”
However, Sofia isn’t pushing the idea. She’s fine with being a mom of one, but if she was to ever get pregnant again then she wouldn’t be upset. “If it happens, it will be something that will make us very happy, but it’s not a priority in our lives,” she told Cosmo for Latinas in a 2015 interview. “When you’re with somebody that hasn’t had kids, and you want to start a relationship, of course there’s always that question.”
Since Joe hasn’t welcomed any kids of his own, he’s open to being a dad for the very first time. “Joe wants babies,” Sofia revealed, but can you blame him?! He’s already the stepfather to a very wonderful young adult. “He has grown up to be so respectful and responsible,” Sofia added about Manolo, and he’s so grateful to have a mom like Sofia.
“All mothers are beautiful,” he once told Entertainment Tonight about what it was like for him to grow up with the gorgeous actress, and we’re sure he wouldn’t trade that experience for the world!
