Paul Reiser, widely known for his role on the 90s’ hit show Mad About You, has announced he will be making a TV comeback!

In the new issue of Closer Weekly, on newsstands now, Paul reveals he has a new show in the works and will be writing and starring in it!

“I am about to write a new pilot,” Paul recently disclosed to the mag at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

“Someone approached me with an idea that I thought was funny, so I am going to write it in the next few months and we will see!”

Fans of Reiser’s quick wit and excellent comedic timing will have something else to look forward to from the actor.

Not only would he be the mastermind behind the show, but Paul confirms to Closer, “I’ll be in it.”

When pressed for further details on the story line he joked, “I don’t know yet because I haven’t written it!”

Mad About You – which ran from 1992 to 1999 – also starred Helen Hunt as Paul's onscreen wife.
