Have you ever wondered what Donny Osmond would do if he never made it as a singer? Well, the 61-year-old star has a clue. When he recently ran into a fan during one of his autograph signings he joked that he could have possibly pursued a career in medicine because of his signature.

“I recently met Debra Hayes. She got my autograph back in 1972 and has saved this #autograph book ever since,” Donny shared via Instagram on Thursday, April 18, alongside a photo of he and Debra. “Debra asked me to sign it again at a #MeetandGreet a few nights ago. Can you believe how much my signature has changed over the years? When I was 14 you could actually read the letters in my name. Looking back 47 years later, I’m realizing I’ve missed my calling in life. I should’ve been a doctor! 😆”

Luckily, Donny never decided to stop singing because, if he had, the world would have never heard “Soldier of Love” or “I’ll Make a Man Out of You.” He currently performs with his sister, Marie Osmond, at the Flamingo Resort in Las Vegas but, even though they’ve had so many successful shows there, the duo plans to end their residency in Sin City by the end of this year.

“It’s a strange feeling knowing that the end is on the horizon. Last night after the show, I couldn’t help but think about all that I’m going to miss once it’s over. I’m going to miss performing on stage with my extremely talented sister every night. She’s the best partner in crime a guy could ask for,” Donny previously shared via Instagram.

Marie and her brother first started performing at the Flamingo Resort in 2008. At first, they were only supposed to do a six-week show but, since fans couldn’t get enough of the duo, they continued to perform there for 11 years straight. We’re all going to miss you guys!
