Simon Cowell Adores Spending Time With Son Eric! See all of Their Cutest Moments Together

When the time comes, Simon Cowell will hand over everything that he has worked for to his son, Eric. Even though his only kid is still young, he’ll learn a lot about showbiz and the music industry from his dad when he’s older. The TV personality shares the little one with his fiancée, Lauren Silverman.

“I would do with him what my dad did. I would have him start as an intern, learn the job,” Simon previously explained to Extra in May 2018. “But the idea that one day he could be doing this or something similar, I would love that.”

Simon’s son has changed him in so many ways and he can’t imagine what a day would look like without Eric by his side. “[Time flies] like you wouldn’t believe,” the dad of one gushed to Us Weekly in March 2020. “I said to someone the other day, ‘It’s much easier than I thought.’ And then you can’t imagine ever not having him … It’s the most amazing feeling.”

Eric has already started to notice how famous his dad really is. The former American Idol judge said his kid has been asking him why people like to smile their way when they’re on the street.

“He’s very funny. I was with him yesterday and he said, ‘Daddy, how come everybody smiles at you?’” Simon recalled. “And I went, ‘No, it’s you! They all know your name.’”

“I said, ‘From the minute you were born, for some reason, everybody knew your first name.’ He went, ‘Really?’ I said, ‘Yeah! They knew your name,'” he continued. “So I said, ‘It’s you!’”

Eric must have surely felt special after his dad told him that. After all, he is his little bundle of joy.

“[Simon is] madly in love with his son,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly in July 2016. “And he’ll openly tell his friends his intense feeling he has for Eric. He’s turned into a big softie with him.”

We understand why Simon has toned down his demeanor for Eric. He’s adorable and one day his son going to take over his legacy and be the next big star on TV.
