Sheryl Crow Kids: Meet the Country Singer's Sons Levi and Wyatt

She may be one of country music‘s most iconic artists, but nothing makes Sheryl Crow feel more fulfilled than being the mom of her two kids, Wyatt and Levi. The “If It Makes You Happy” songstress chose a more unique road to motherhood as she adopted her beloved sons.

Sheryl first became a mom when she adopted her eldest son, Wyatt, shortly after his birth in 2007. The Grammy Award winner then completed her family when she adopted her youngest son, Levi, three years later in 2010.

Although the role of a single mom can be challenging at times, Sheryl was more than willing to take on the responsibilities. “I didn’t want to spend any more nights away from home,” she explained to People in April 2017. “When you have kids, your priorities definitely change. I really felt consistency is the most important thing.”

At the time she started the process of adoption, Sheryl took a break from the music industry to establish her life as a mother. “Adopting my boys — that’s just been the biggest everlasting event that has informed everything,” she gushed to the outlet.

Motherhood can be a handful, but the “Soak up the Sun” singer couldn’t be happier with her two little men. “At this point in my life, I am grounded and peaceful in knowing the order of things,” Sheryl said at the time. “There have been days where I think, ‘I suck as a mom; I can’t do anything right.’ But at the end of the day, there’s nothing better than family. I’m so blessed.”

The “First Cut Is the Deepest” singer echoed her sweet sentiment during an exclusive interview with Closer just months later in August 2017. “Motherhood changes everything,” she sweetly marveled. “They’re the first thing I think of in the morning and the last thing I think of at night.”

Now that Wyatt and Levi are older, Sheryl has a much easier time balancing her Hollywood career and raising her kids. Fortunately, the star’s boys love tagging along for their mom’s work, especially when she goes on tour.

“They go everywhere I go,” she gushed to Closer. “I think they enjoy it a little too much. They love having dance parties before bed and they always get to pick the music. I just hope they love music, and I can tell they do.”

Sheryl adopted her first child, son Wyatt, in 2007. The country music artist, who was engaged three separate times but never walked down the aisle, revealed her decision to adopt came after having an epiphany. The blonde beauty explained to Good Housekeeping that her priorities shifted after battling breast cancer over a decade prior.

“Something happens when you’re diagnosed with a disease,” she said in 2014. “Your emotions start racing, and clarity is reached.” So, nearly a year after moving to Nashville in 2006, Sheryl became the proud mom of her little bundle of joy.

Although Sheryl doesn’t share much of her kids on social media, the “Everyday Is a Winding Road” singer has talked about them quite often. In September 2017, she dished her sons are following in her famous footsteps.

“They’re really into music. They both are taking piano lessons,” Sheryl shared with Us Weekly. “Now they’re getting to that stage where they’re learning all the music and they’re just too cool for school.”

Three years after adopting her first child, Sheryl expanded her brood with son Levi. At the time, the award-winning singer revealed the announcement with her fans. “I have some exciting news to share with you guys — Wyatt has a new little brother! Levi James was born April 30th,” Sheryl wrote in a post on her website.

Levi and his older brother may pursue country music careers like their mom considering they’ll already practicing their skills! “They write their own lyrics to my music,” she explained to Us Weekly. “It’s always potty stuff. Like, ‘All I wanna do is poop on you.'”
