This has to be the best award she's ever received! Sharon Stone accepted the Summit Nobel Peace Award at the 13th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Warsaw, Poland on Oct. 23.

The activist was honored for her “activities that brought solidarity and new hope to the millions of people who have fought and are fighting against the tragedy of HIV/AIDS.”

The “Basic Instinct” actress has worked as a campaign chairman for amFAR (Foundation for AIDS Research) since she lost her good friend and acting coach Roy London to the disease.

“I feel lucky that his life touched mine,” she said. “I especially miss Roy; his memory is an enduring reminder that heartache can be transformed into action, which in turn brings hope and, ultimately, life.”

Previous Summit Award winners include Sean Penn, George Clooney, Bono, and Don Cheadle.
