Sharon Stone Holds on to Son Roan’s Arm After Tripping on the Red Carpet

Talk about a support system! Sharon Stone got a helping hand on the red carpet recently, as she held on to her son Roan Joseph Bronstein after taking a slight stumble.

The 61-year-old and her eldest child attended the third annual Harper Bazaar Awards in Madrid, Spain, on Tuesday, November 5 — and the crowd was reminded just how much she is about her son, 19. The Basic Instinct star took some time to wave to her fans, even though she may have almost taken a hard spill.

Not to fear though, as the Oscar-nominee stayed on her feet and continued to turn heads. In fact, it was quite clear that Sharon still has her beaming confidence after all these years. She once opened up about embracing her beauty at her age.

“I’m so grateful to my body. When I was younger, everybody was telling me what was wrong with my body — too this, too that,” the actress shared with Allure. “When I got on ‘Basic Instinct,’ they hired a makeup artist that put on pounds of makeup every day, and every day I went to my trailer and took the makeup off.” However, things changed as she got older

“I started to understand that I was going to go for being more like a European woman who got more beautiful with age and who could understand that women are more beautiful than girls because they know something,” she revealed. It is also so great to see Sharon out and about — especially since having to overcome quite the obstacles after suffering a stroke in 2001.

“From other women in my own business to the female judge who handled my custody case, I don’t think anyone grasps how dangerous a stroke is for women and what it takes to recover — it took me about seven years,” Sharon explained to Variety earlier this year. “[From] trying to keep custody of my son to just functioning — to be able to work at all.”

“I had to remortgage my house. I lost everything I had. I lost my place in the business,” she revealed. “I was like the hottest movie star, you know? It was like Miss Princess Diana and I were so famous — and she died and I had a stroke. And we were forgotten.” We’re just glad Sharon is back!
