This year’s Christmas is going to be a little different for Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne considering it’s the first holiday season they’re spending apart since tying the knot in 1982. The Talk host recently opened up about her solo Christmas plans in the U.K. while appearing on ITV’s Loose Women talk show.

“No, he’s not going to come,” the 67-year-old beauty shared with the show’s TV hosts, noting doctors urged her husband, 70, not to fly from Los Angeles to London amid a slew of health issues. “It’s the first time in 40 years that we’re not together. This will be our 40th Christmas … I know, it’s going to be weird.”

Although there will be thousands of miles between the longtime lovebirds on Christmas Day, Sharon revealed they will, fortunately, be spending the day with their kids, Amy Osbourne, 36, Kelly Osbourne, 35, and Jack Osbourne, 34. “He’s going to stay home now with Jack and Amy and the grandkids,” she explained. “And I’m here with Kelly.”

Ozzy’s orders from the doctor to stay home in L.A. for Christmas come after a year of scary health issues. Last October, Ozzy shocked his fanbase when he revealed he was forced to undergo surgery for an infection in his hand. “Feeling better after surgery. Ice cream helps,” the “Crazy Train” crooner captioned a photo of him eating the frozen treat in a hospital bed.

Months after Ozzy’s hand cleared up, Sharon took to social media to let their fans know the Black Sabbath frontman had to be hospitalized after suffering the flu and pneumonia. “As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu,” she shared in February. “His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”

While attending the American Music Awards in late November, the rock ‘n’ roll pair’s middle child, Kelly, also revealed her dad underwent a serious procedure on his neck in at the end of 2018. “Dad had the accident and had to have surgery,” the Masked Singer alum shared with hosts as she hit the red carpet at the 47th annual awards show. “He fractured the spine in his neck.”

However, Ozzy seemed to be in good spirits and health as he hit the stage for the first time in over a year to perform at the 2019 AMAs. The beloved legend proved why he’s considered one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most iconic singers as he performed “Take What You Want From Me” with fellow artists Post Malone and Travis Scott.

We bet Sharon and Ozzy are asking Santa for good health!
