Congratulations, Selma Blair! The 45-year-old actress took to Instagram on Thursday, June 21 to celebrate two years of sober living. "Two years sober. Two years feeling everything and nothing. Two years of extreme gratitude and humility and grace," she captioned a photo of herself blowing out candles on a birthday cake.

"I thank the lord and my friends. Thank you for the most special birthday week… I prayed for a miracle at my lowest points. I am a living miracle. Thank you. Thank you. #BirthdayGirl #Almost46 #SummerSolstice #Grace," Selma added.

After Selma shared her emotional post, many of her 563,000 Instagram followers took to the image's comments section to express how proud they are of the actress for reaching this milestone. "Congrats on your miracle! How sweet it is," one person wrote with another similarly adding, "Soo proud!! So great to see you happy!! Keep up that good mood."

In the past, Selma has been candid about her struggles with substance abuse. The actress previously made headlines in 2016 for having a scary breakdown and being forcibly removed from a flight after taking a combination of prescription medication with alcohol.

"I made a big mistake yesterday. After a lovely trip with my son and his dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret," Selma said in a statement to Vanity Fair one day after the incident. "I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry."

Months later, Selma told People that she is now "fully recovered" and the plane event was "very embarrassing." We're so glad you're doing better, Selma!
