Selma Blair Says Her Son Arthur Will ‘Always Know the Love of His Dad’ Jason

Plenty of people are paying tribute to their dad on Father’s Day, and Selma Blair went ahead and did the same. However, she instead gave kudos to her son Arthur‘s dad, Jason Bleick.

The actress, 46, took to Instagram on Sunday, June 16, to shine the light on her only son’s other parent. “Father’s Day. Arthur’s dad. He will always know the love of his dad. And his mom. My dad loved me too. But I never really felt the closeness. Circumstance. Or the people we were. He died without meeting my son. But we had a plan for it. But …My son met him in his casket. A stranger. His grandfather,” the actress captioned a picture showing her next to her ex, 49.

“I still feel unresolved miscommunication. Impossible moments. But this man next to me. Arthur’s father … we love our son so big and our son knows. Truth,” she continued. “So we are doing just fine. Selma and Jason first started dating in 2010, and welcomed their son together the following year. Unfortunately, the pair split in 2012, although it is clear that they mean the world to each other and are their for their child. This isn’t the first time that the Hellboy costar has given a shoutout to her ex boyfriend — she once shared a throwback pic of the pair for his birthday.

“Happy Birthday, @JasonBleick. This picture [was] taken just a few months into my pregnancy and we were so much in love,” Selma captioned the photo of the two walking alongside each other. “Thank you for the sweetest memories of that time and for our son, that unconditional love. Happy Birthday, Dad.”
