Savannah Guthrie is celebrating her latest career accomplishment with the support of her Today costars. The broadcaster announced her next project, the children’s book called Mostly What God Does Is Love You, during an episode of the talk show.

“I am really excited, you guys. You may remember earlier this year I released a book, it was called Mostly What God Does, there were essays about the power of faith in our lives,” the TV host revealed during the Monday, December 2, episode of the show. “Well now we’re going to have a picture book for the little ones.”

Savannah, 52, then held up a copy of the picture book as her cohosts sat beside her. The new children’s book will be released in February 2025.

“It’s filled with illustrations that showcase the wonders of nature and how God adores us,” she explained.

Savannah, who shares kids Vale and Charley with husband Mike Feldman, then shared a glimpse inside of the book along with an audio clip of her reading the book aloud.

“Mostly what God does is love you,” she said in the clip. “He hangs the stars every evening, and everyday summons the dawn, but mostly what God does is love you. He blows the clouds into being, and whispers to the wind, ‘Go here, go there.’ But mostly what God does is love you.”

“Here you are, exactly where you should be, exactly who you are meant to be, the one God designed perfectly,” Savannah added. “You can’t see him with your eyes, or touch him with your hands, but you feel him in your heart, and you know him in your mind.”

On Today’s official Instagram page, fans left comments cheering Savannah on in her latest endeavor.

“Omg I love this!! Amazing,” one person commented, while another said, “I love this and it sends such a beautiful message. God does love us…all of us…just as we are. Happy Monday! Such a wonderful way to start the week.”

“Absolutely beautiful,” another person said, while another wrote, “I love this so much.”

Savannah’s Today colleagues were also very supportive when she released the book Mostly What God Does in February, attending some of her book launch events. Amid the first book’s release earlier this year, the mom of two explained how her faith has always been at the center of her life.

“It’s what makes me tick. It’s what makes me joyful. It’s what helps me navigate the world and stresses and disappointments and fears,” she told TODAY.com of her faith.

“I’m not writing this book from some mountaintop where I’ve received some wisdom, and now I’m imparting it to the world,” Savannah said. “No, I’m still down here, struggling. Still down here, disappointing myself. I’m still down here, needing faith, needing grace, needing mercy, needing love. That’s why I wrote the book — because I’m the person that needs to read it. And so I thought, if I do, then maybe others do, too.”
