OMG!Sarah Jessica Parker Reveals Whether or Not She Thinks Carrie Bradshaw Should Have Married Mr. Big in ‘Sex and the City’
Sarah Jessica Parker is finally speaking out about Sex and the City creator David Star‘s recent comment that Carrie Bradshaw shouldn’t have ended up with Mr. Big!
“As I recall, the way Carrie and Big married was something she wanted rather than a feeling that life was slipping away and she best settle quickly,” the 50-year-old actress revealed in an interview with Yahoo Style on Monday, Feb. 1. “I don’t think of it as someone diminishing herself by letting a man marry her — it always felt that she had arrived at that [decision] on her own.”

Though Sarah Jessica didn’t agree with Darren’s disapproval of Carrie tying the knot with Big, the actress had a rather positive takeaway from the surprising comment. “The beauty is we can all have lots and lots of opinions about lots of choices Carrie made that we object to or that we stand by,” she continued. “If that’s Darren’s feeling, I think it’s interesting!
Carrie and Big were played by Sarah Jessica and Chris Noth, respectively, on all six SATC seasons, which aired from 1998 until 2004.
