'The View' Star Sara Haines Is Pregnant With Her Second Baby

Congrats are in order for Sara Haines!

The View star announced she is pregnant with her second baby — a girl! — on Tuesday, June 20. "We are so excited to add to our little family," the 39-year-old told People in a statement.

Sara and her husband, Max Shifrin — who tied the knot in November 2014 — are already parents to a 15-month-old son, Alec Richard Shifrin, who was born in March 2016.

"I was hoping for a girl, but Max is a little scared, I think," Sara said. "He’s feeling a bit nervous about how to parent as a father to a little girl. Max has been surrounded by mostly male relatives. He has a brother, all male cousins and only nephews."

Sara said her second pregnancy is already much different than her first because she's unfortunately been battling some intense morning sickness. "With baby Alec, I was nauseous but never to the point it imposed on my daily life. It was my first pregnancy and I think the adrenaline of being on national TV overtook the feeling of being really nauseous," she said.

We did it!!! On March 5th, 2016 we met our little guy Alec Richard Shifrin (named after our dads). He weighed in at 7 lbs. 5 ounces. We are excited, exhausted, and possibly still in shock, but soaking it all in. Thank you for all of the kind messages and encouraging words. It will take a village to raise this little man;)

"This time, I’m super sick. I have to eat through the commercial breaks and they bring me rice crackers and ginger ale. Nothing overrides the nausea," Sara —
who joined The View as a co-host in 2016 — continued.

"I haven’t been feeling great, but it will all be worth it!" Sara said, adding she's due in December. So exciting!

Rosie joined The View as a co-host and moderator for the show's 10th season in September 2006. In April 2007, she announced she was leaving the program after just one season. In 2014 it was revealed Rosie would return to the show for its 18th season, but she again only lasted one season and left in February 2015.
