It was only a matter of time before Meghan Markle‘s half-sister spoke out after the duchess and her husband, Prince Harry, gave birth to their first child, and she did just that recently — although surprisingly it wasn’t a negative response.

The 54-year-old told DailyMail TV on Wednesday, May 8, that she believes that royal baby Archie will grow up “to be an exceptional man.” She of course also added that she hopes the Duchess of Sussex, 37, will eventually reach out to their father, Thomas Markle, because “life is too short.”

“What I think is incredible is that it’s a great moment historically and although the adults have a lot of water under the bridge, I would really like to see everyone reach out,” Samantha said. “We’ve extended the olive branch and now it is Meghan’s turn.” However, the royal’s sibling did go back to speak about her new relative.

“Well I love it! I’m already an aunt and am lucky enough to have Thomas and Tyler as my nephews.”

This response is quite harmless compared to all the messages Samantha has sent the former actress over the last couple of months. Earlier this year, Samantha announced that she will be releasing two tell-all books about the Suits alum. “I couldn’t help but let it slip!” she said on Twitter at the time.

Samantha wasn’t done there, as she shot back at those who criticized her for the tell-alls. “Everyone who has a book coming out is #fixated … I’m promoting my book and no one has the right to stop me. Step off.” She added, “And you will love some of the pictures in my book also to refute any of your nasty troll gossip that we did not have a life together. I’m very much your sister and if you don’t like it too bad. Bring it on. I think everyone should take a lie detector test.”

No word yet if Samantha will be meeting her baby nephew anytime soon, or if she will reconcile with her half-sister, but it is nice that she had nothing but kind words to say about little Archie. We hope the positivity continues!
