Impressive! Ryan Seacrest looked happier than ever while showing off his new at-home garden. This is great news considering the TV star gave fans quite the health scare after skipping two episodes of Live! With Kelly and Ryan in the last month.
“My new strawberry garden for protein shakes,” the 45-year-old captioned a cute selfie on Saturday, May 30, taken in his backyard. The On Air With Ryan Seacrest star had his bright smile on full display as he leaned into the sprouting bed of fruit to snap a photo.
It seems Ryan is back and feeling better than ever following a busy few weeks. During the American Idol finale on May 17, viewers noticed the beloved host appeared a little off after he began slurring his words. When he skipped Live! the following morning, Ryan’s rep released a statement insisting he was OK.
“Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night,” his rep told People at the time. “Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home.”
The TV producer’s spokesperson noted because he “has been juggling three to four on-air jobs over the last few weeks,” Ryan was just tired. “He [was] in need of rest,” the spokesperson added. “So today he took a well-deserved day off.”
Ryan echoed his rep’s words as he returned to Live! on May 19. “I’m doing well, thank you. I want to thank Mark [Consuelos] for filling in yesterday,” he said alongside cohost Kelly Ripa. “He’s so good at it! Also, all the very kind well-wishes for my exhaustion, working around the clock.”
However, the TV personality skipped the award-winning talk show for a second time on May 25. Although Ryan didn’t address the reason for his absence, he revealed he spent his time off hiking over Memorial Day weekend.
“I finally got outside a little bit and went for a hike,” he marveled during Live! on May 26. The handsome hunk even gave fans a glimpse inside his fun-filled trek as he shared a super cool snapshot of him hiking on the trails on Instagram.
“A breath of fresh air … even from behind a mask,” he captioned the photo. “Happy Memorial Day weekend!”
We’re so happy to see Ryan smiling!
