It seems Rosie O’Donnell‘s days on The View may be limited!

On Thursday, Dec. 18, Rosie, 52, and Whoopi Goldberg, 59, got in a heated, on-air debate about racism on daytime talk show. But, according to a new report, the impassioned co-hosts’ fight continued even after they went off the air — and got even worse.

In fact, this latest feud between Rosie and Whoopi — who have been known for creating past drama on ‘The View’ — was so bad that Rosie threatened to quit the popular ABC talk show, an insider revealed to ‘Radar Online.’

“Rosie heard several staffers talking about using a split screen if the fighting continued when taping resumed,” the source alleged. “Rosie went absolutely ballistic, pointing out that was the reason she had quit the first time. Racism is a very serious subject, and Rosie felt that the staff of the show was trying to exploit it for ratings.”

“She threatened to walk out yet again, so using the split screen was ultimately shelved,” the insider continued. “Luckily, cooler heads prevailed when the show returned from a commercial break.”

Though this recent spat between the two stars seems to have been resolved, the source noted the constant tension between Rosie and Whoopi has gotten noticeably worse in the last few months.

“Whoopi and Rosie aren’t even pretending to like each other on the air,” the insider added. “It won’t be the last time they spar. Needless to say, the crew is looking forward to the Christmas break. Both of them are acting extremely immature.”
