Rod Stewart and Wife Penny Lancaster Grab Coffee in L.A.: Photos

Celebrity couple Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster are still going strong! On Sunday, September 29, they went to grab coffee together in Los Angeles and, instead of taking their car, they walked the whole way there.

Rod, 74, wore an all-white outfit for the occasion and Penny, 48, threw on a pair of sunglasses, dark jean shorts, and a white T-shirt she tied around her waist.

Despite their 26-year age gap, Rod and Penny, seem to be doing just fine in their longtime marriage. However, Rod’s age has been of concern to Penny as of late. Since they have two kids — sons Aiden, 8, and Alastair, 13 — Penny wants to make sure that her husband will live long enough to see them grow up.

“Rod’s in his 70s and we have a huge family base at home. My life is based on the family. On occasion I think, when I’m Rod’s age, I won’t have my husband and the children will be grown up and gone and I have to prepare,” Penny recently said, according to the Daily Mail.

In fact, that’s not the only thing that Penny worries about. She also admits that she had to play nice with Rod’s exes because they’re a big part of his life. “When I met Rod, I realized it wasn’t just us,” she once said on ITV’s Lorraine. “It was the children, the ex-wives. I had to show that I was genuine, show kindness, and it works.”

Penny is Rod’s third wife. The “Forever Young” star was previously married to Alana Stewart from 1979 to 1984 and Rachel Hunter from 1990 to 2006. To date, Rod has eight kids with five different women and he loves each and every one of his children equally.

“Children have always been important to me — very important,” he previously said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“I’ve built a lovely AstroTurf pitch for my two youngest boys,” he continued. “We go out there every evening. I try and teach them a few things. That is the most wonderful thing ever, just playing football at my age with your kids.
