Robin Wright and Clement Giraudet’s Surprise Wedding “Wasn’t Planned out Very Much” (EXCLUSIVE)
Congratulations! Actress Robin Wright married her boyfriend, Clement Giraudet, in a low-key ceremony on Aug. 11. “It was a very small, short ceremony, and it wasn’t planned out very much,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly of the nuptials in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now. “Mostly everyone was wearing flip-flops and dancing on the lawn.”
Though Robin, 52, and Clement have yet to publicly confirm the happy news, the Robin Wright fan account @RobinWrightNow recently posted a photo of the couple sharing a passionate hug during the ceremony. In the sweet pic, the House of Cards star can also be seen wearing a long white dress accessorized with a brown headband.
“She was gorgeous and glowing. Robin actually did her own hair and her own makeup for the wedding — that’s how casual and calm the entire weekend was,” the source told Closer. “It was just about having fun and being super warm and welcoming. All about good friends and family and love!”
Following the laid-back nuptials, Robin’s daughter, Dylan Penn, also took to Instagram to share a video of a bunch of people dancing with the caption, “Weddin vibes.”
Robin and Clement were first spotted together in September 2017 at her son Hopper Penn’s soccer game in France. “He’s handsome, charming, and athletic,” a source previously told People of Saint Laurent’s International VIP Relations Manager.
Robin was previously married to Dane Witherspoon from 1986 until 1988 and to Sean Penn from 1996 until 2010. She welcomed Dylan, 27, and Hopper, 25, with Sean in 1991 and 1993, respectively.
In a previous interview, Sean revealed he and Robin don’t have a great relationship today (we bet she left him off the wedding invite list!). “We don’t not get along,” Sean told host Marc Maron on his WTF Podcast in a recent interview. “We have very separate relationships with our kids at this point and it seems to work better that way because they are making their own decisions. As it turned out she and I did not share the same ethical views on parenting, including the continuing parenting of adult children.”
This time around, Robin didn’t announce any type of engagement (she previously called off her engagement to ex-boyfriend Ben Foster twice). We couldn’t be happier for the blonde beauty, and now, we just can’t wait for more pics from the special day to see which celebs attended the nuptials!
