Get well soon, Richard Simmons.

The 68-year-old fitness guru — who has not been seen in public since 2014 — was hospitalized for "severe indigestion" on Monday, April 17, his manager, Richard Catalano, confirmed to ABC News.

"Richard Simmons was hospitalized on Monday at an undisclosed location in California," Catalano said in a statement. "After a few days of battling severe indigestion and discomfort while eating, we agreed it was best for him to seek treatment."

Since Richard suddenly removed himself from the spotlight three years ago, many fans have been concerned for his well-being — and rumors have even swirled that star is being held hostage in his own home.

During the recent podcast, Missing Richard Simmons, Richard's longtime friend and former masseuse, Mauro Oliveira, claimed he is being unwillingly kept in his LA home by his maid, Teresa Reveles.

Richard's spokesperson, Tom Estey, later dispelled the gossip. "Teresa has been working with him for 27 years. So, holding him hostage is the biggest, I mean… Teresa is the housekeeper, she's the caretaker, she is extraordinary, she is amazing, she takes impeccable care of Richard and she has for as long as I have been working with Richard. So that is a complete load of crap," he said.

Etsey previously told Closer Weekly that is "100 percent fine" in the wake of his reclusion from fame. "Because he has been so visual and out they’re for so long, he wanted to take this time for himself. It’s a much-needed break," he said.

"People claim that [his disappearance] happened overnight. It really didn't. We were turning down stuff for years and just kind of quieting down, and when he decides that he wants to come back, that's when he'll come back, and when that will be, I have no idea or if he will at all. There really isn't anything to report," Etsey added.
