Just because Renée Zellweger looks amazing doesn’t mean she has had plastic surgery. The beloved Judy actress opened up about people speculating about her having cosmetic procedures in a candid interview.

“It probably gives you a stomachache, asking me about that, doesn’t it?” the 50-year-old beauty told the Vulture reporter after he admitted he was a little reluctant to bring up the “whole plastic-surgery kerfuffle.” “Well, because there’s a value judgment that’s placed on us. As if it somehow is a reflection of your character — whether you’re a good person or a weak person or an authentic person.”

In 2014, the Bridget Jones’s Diary actress became the subject surrounding plastic surgery rumors after she stepped out at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards looking nearly unrecognizable. Renée, who defended herself in an op-ed for The Huffington Post, opened up about how she was perceived after reemerging from her 6-year Hollywood hiatus at the prestigious event.

“And the implication that I somehow needed to change what was going on because it wasn’t working,” the blonde beauty said. “That makes me sad. I don’t look at beauty in that way. And I don’t think of myself in that way. I like my weird quirkiness, my off-kilter mix of things. It enables me to do what I do.”

Renée also dished that she only wants to be herself. “I don’t want to be something else. I got hired in my blue jeans and cowboy boots with my messy hair,” she dished. “I started working like that. I didn’t have to change to work. So why was I suddenly trying to fit into some mold that didn’t belong to me?”

Shortly after her appearance at the awards show in 2014, Renée opened up to People about the “silly” conversations regarding plastic surgery rumors. “I’m glad folks think I look different! I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows,” the Jerry Maguire star shared. “People don’t know me [as] healthy for a while. Perhaps I look different. Who doesn’t as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I’m happy.”

Renée is so inspiring!
