Reese Witherspoon Throws Daughter Ava, 18, and Son Deacon, 14, Joint Graduation Party!
Clearly, Reese Witherspoon isn’t just a regular mom — she’s a cool mom! The A-list actress threw her daughter, Ava, 18, and son Deacon, 14, a joint graduation party over the weekend, and by the looks of her Instagram story, it was a blast!
Reese, 42, posted three photos on the social media platform: one of a pitcher of a yummy drink with the caption “Graduation Day,” one of a delicious-looking veggie dip platter, and our personal favorite, a boomerang of Ava and Deacon tossing their graduation caps with their pool and a “YOU DID IT” sign made of balloons in the background. Ava just finished up high school (we wonder where she’s going to college!) and Deacon just graduated from middle school.
The Big Little Lies star also celebrated graduation season by sharing a plethora of cute photos of different Legally Blonde-themed caps. “#LegallyBlonde going strong during grad season! Lovin’ these graduation caps! Congrats! ?,” she captioned the series of pics. It doesn’t seem like Ava decorated her cap to match the movie, but we bet she will for college!
Reese previously welcomed her two older kids with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. She is also a mom to a son Tennesse, 5, with her current husband, Jim Toth. In past interviews, Reese has gushed about her kids. “Well, my daughter is pretty good at giving advice,” she once told ET. “She’s, you know what? She’s a really good listener. And then my middle son, Deacon, who is 14, kind of tells me when I’m embarrassing everybody in the family. So, that’s kind of good advice to know.”
The blonde beauty has also dished on the key to being successful at motherhood. “You know, I think the most important thing is that you figure out what your kids are passionate about, and what they’re good at. And don’t expect them to be like you, you just sort of encourage them to be the best versions of themselves,” she shared of being a mom-of-three. “So that’s your job as a parent to figure out who they are.” Clearly, Reese is doing a great job!
