LITTLE REE is out this week, and thank you for telling me stories of reading it to your kids/grandkids! Makes my day. Little Ree is a fish-out-of-water story that become a bloom-where-you're- planted story…and there's a pug in it. The icing on the cake! 😂 It's now available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, Books-a-Million and other bookstores! ❤️
The newly-released children's book is a semi-autobiographical story about a little girl named Ree (sound familiar?!) who leaves the city to move to the country, just as Ree did. And even though she faces many challenges during her adjustment, she finds being a country girl is actually very cool!
The book's description reads, "Little Ree trades in her city days for a country way of life when she moves with her family to her grandparents’ ranch. She’s excited to ride horses, swim in the pond, and help Grandma cook for everyone. But on her first day, she finds that living on a ranch can be tough. Luckily, the end of the day brings a big family barbecue… and the happy discovery that being a country girl isn’t about the right pair of boots, it’s all about the right attitude."
In a recent interview with Fox News, the 48-year-old opened up about the already #1 best seller. "I was the last person that any of my friends would have pictured moving to the boonies," she revealed. "I moved to the country as an adult but I wrote a story about a little girl who went through the same experiences."
"I could give you a list of the little bumps in the road. The first few nights I would hear noises, I’d go to the window and a horse would just be looking into the window," she added.
This isn't the first publication written by the Food Network star. In addition to her plethora of cookbooks, Ree is also the author of a children's book series inspired by her family's dog Charlie, with titles including Charlie the Ranch Dog, Charlie and the Christmas Kitty, and Charlie and the New Baby.
You can pick up a copy of the Little Ree at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and more!
