Get well soon! Queen Elizabeth unfortunately had to cancel her annual tea time with the local Women’s Institute near Sandringham because she is battling a cold.

“The Queen has a cold. It’s not flu. But at her age she needs to look after herself. Rest to avoid further complications,” a royal insider exclusively told Closer Weekly about the 93-year-old monarch. “Plus she’s been incredibly stressed out recently which hasn’t helped matters. Her immune system is low.”

The queen has been dealing with a lot lately, especially after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said they wanted to split their time between Canada and the U.K. and step back from their duties as senior members of the royal family. Prince William even made time to check on his beloved grandmother after he saw how much she was going through.

“He’s worried about the Queen’s stress levels,” a separate insider revealed to Closer at the time. “While we all know Elizabeth is an incredibly strong woman who’s been through her fair share of royal scandals, she’s 93 years old.”

Aside from Harry and Meghan, the queen has gone through other family hardships in recent months. Her husband, Prince Philip, was briefly hospitalized around the holidays and [Prince] Andrew vowed to step away from royal duties amid Jeffrey Epstein scandal. If anything, she definitely needs a little more R&R. However, Harry, 35, has been trying to make things right with the monarch by him and Meghan, 38, giving up their HRH titles.

“Initially Harry wanted to keep his HRH title, but willingly gave it up for an easy life — this was hashed out in the meetings,” another source recently told Closer about the agreement between him, Meghan, and the royal family. “Harry and Meghan are just going to be The Duke and Duchess of Sussex from now on.”

Queen Elizabeth needs her family more than ever now. We hope she kicks that cold to the curb — and quick!
