Reunited and it feels so good! Queen Elizabeth took a stroll down memory lane when she came across Margaret Baxter, a woman she first met during a visit to Portsmouth way back in the 1940s.

On Wednesday, May 30, the 93-year-old attended a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace, and once again met this particular lady. So much time has passed that the head monarch was just a princess during their initial meeting at another party, about 70 years ago. The royal family took to Twitter to share photos of Prince Philip‘s wife original encounter with Margaret.

“Today Mrs Margaret Baxter was presented to Her Majesty, during which they reminisced about their first meeting, when the then Princess Elizabeth visited, Portsmouth in 1940s. #GardenParty,” read the tweet posted on the account. In the throwback photo, the pair of women are smiling while walking side-by-side.

Fans were of course loving this reunion, as they rushed to reply. “What a beauty, then and now. The Queen’s smile is truly ageless; always with such a sparkle in her eyes,” one person said. Another added, “How lovely. Two gracious ladies!”

Aside from Margaret, Prince Harry was also at the garden party. In fact, the Duke of Sussex, 34, was quite busy interacting with numerous representatives of his wife, Meghan Markle‘s four patronages. These organizations include Smart Works, the Mayhew, the National Theatre and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Harry also “met with a representative of @africanparksnetwork (of which he is President), a mental health consultant for @weareinvictusgames and countless others who are leading by example with high impact cause driven work,” according to a post on the royal couple’s Instagram.

It is so wonderful to see all the beautiful moments that occurred at the garden party. We know the Queen and her longtime pal will always remember this.
