She’s not slowing down! Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne for 65 years, but that doesn’t mean she’s ready to throw in the towel on royal life. In fact, at 92 years old, the British monarch is at her peak.

“She’s still working as hard as ever,” Nick Kent, executive producer of the new documentary, Queen of the World, told Closer Weekly in the magazine’s newest issue, on newsstands now. “And retirement doesn’t seem to be in her vocabulary!”

And while she takes her work very seriously, Prince Philip’s wife also makes time for family and her hobbies. “One of the extraordinary things about Elizabeth is that she still goes out riding on her horses two or three times a week,” Kent revealed. “If you want to see the queen at her most relaxed, that’s probably it.” He added, “Enjoying your work is a big part of staying healthy, both psychologically and physically. She believes in the value of what she does and I think that really shows.”

Stepping away from her royal duties once in a while, she has admitted, is just what she needs. “We all need to get the balance right between action and reflection,” she once said. “With so many distractions, it is easy to forget to pause and take stock.”

But the Queen realizes that times are changing, and even though she’s been in charge for so long, she has to acclimate to change. “She’s ensuring the future of the monarchy by being open and flexible and adapting. She’s allowing it to rebrand,” former palace staffer Colleen Harris told People in a recent interview. “The Queen is allowing the royal family to modernize. We have come a real long way. They are not stuffy and immovable.” Sorry, Prince Charles — it looks like you’re going to have to continue to wait your turn!
