Queen Elizabeth Thinks Duchess Meghan Is Making Prince Harry ‘More Mature, Responsible’

Such praise! Queen Elizabeth has noticed all of the positive things Meghan Markle has been doing lately, especially making Prince Harry is better all-around man!

It seems like the Duchess of Sussex’s current trip to Africa — which she is on with her husband and their son, Archie — has really caught the eye of the head monarch, 93. “She’s seeing a more mature, responsible side of Harry, and she’s really impressed with how Meghan’s upped her game,” an insider told Us Weekly. “This is the real Meghan. It’s not an act. And while she’ll never replace [Princess Diana], she’s determined to follow in her footsteps.”

It should come as no surprise that the queen is loving all that she is seeing from her daughter-in-law, 38, especially since the former actress has also made a new woman of Prince Philip‘s wife. “People who have known her for a long time say she smiles more and is more relaxed,” royals expert Robert Hardman once exclusively told Closer Weekly. The queen has also done her best to not only share some wisdom with Meghan, but with Kate Middleton as well.

“Both women were totally new to this royals game when they came into it,” the author of the biography Queen of the World continued. “So from the get-go, the queen has made an effort to take them under her wing. It’s a team operation, and it’s a united team — that makes the queen happy.” Not only does it seem like the Suits alum and the queen have formed a tight relationship, Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, has also bonded with the queen.

“The Queen loves hearing Doria’s stories about her life in LA and the two of them have developed a special bond,” a source exclusively told Closer. “When she saw the yoga studio she jokingly asked Doria to give her a lesson!” So funny! In fact, the pair were even together when they met baby Archie for the first time!

It is so great to hear what a long way Meghan’s relationship with the queen has come — we can’t wait to hear how much closer the duo can get with one another.
