Well this is one way to make your way into the royal family. Queen Elizabeth is looking for a tad more help as she’s in the market to hire a new butler to join her team and travel between Buckingham Palace and other royal locations. Are you the one for the job?

The ad, shared on the Royal Household website, makes sure to let all hopeful applicants know that they first will need to pass a “butlering” exam. Just think of those butlers you’re always seeing in those royal movies, and act how they do. “You’ll deliver functions of all scales, from official lunches and receptions, to state occasions, providing an exceptional guest experience for all,” the ad reads.

But there’s more! The person who eventually lands the position, will be working full-time, and will need to have “good attention to accuracy and detail and get satisfaction from a job well done, delivering work to a consistently high standard.” Although if you’re not exactly Geoffrey Butler don’t worry, because the ad continues and adds that, “We’ll be with you every step of the way, and after initial training, you’ll be supported to achieve an accredited Butlering qualification too.”

What does being at the whim of everyone pay? According to the advert, this butler would get £19,935.80 per year, which comes up to about $26,000. Not earth-shattering, but it also includes a 15 percent employer contribution pension scheme, plus benefits as well as meals.

“Although we can guide you on how to deliver an exceptional service at a wide range of events, you’ll already have a polite, friendly and approachable working style, and will be able to communicate with all kinds of people. And above all, you’ll be committed to a career in hospitality and keen to develop your professional knowledge,” the ad says. If you’re interested in submitting an application, you are able to until February 17.

Just recently Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were on the hunt for a personal assistant, so it certainly sounds like the royal family is looking to bring in some new faces. Hey, you could be that person.
