Most of us can’t expect to outshine Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding in May, but if anyone is coming close, it’s Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank. If you haven’t heard, they’re engaged! Though both couples are getting married at the same Windsor Castle venue (it was allegedly Meghan and Harry’s second choice), Eugenie’s engagement ring is giving Meghan’s bauble a run for its money.

Don’t get too excited though, Meghan’s ring was still mega money. (You can get excited about owning this Zofia day ring though, her second favorite!) According to Channel 4’s Posh Pawn, Eugenie’s ring is worth $142,000, double the value of Meghan’s three-diamond ring. Life & Style previously revealed that Meghan’s ring only cost about $60,000.

“I would estimate Meghan’s ring to be roughly a 2.5 to 3-carat cushion cut diamond. Cushions are cut deep, so they appear even smaller than what they really are,” George said. “I would say the ring is valued at roughly $60,000, with the two side stones having belonged to Princess Diana, and the main stone coming from Botswana, a country close to Prince Harry’s heart,” celebrity jeweler George Khalife, aka “George the Jeweler,” recently told the magazine.

Eugenie’s ring, on the other hand, features a pink padparadscha sapphire surrounded by diamonds. The rock interestingly bears a striking resemblance to the ring her father, Prince Andrew, gave Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York in 1986. Eugenie’s center oval gemstone is not only in the same taste as her mother, but also Princess Diana’s engagement ring too.

Deborah Papas, from Prestige Pawnbrokers, told The Sun, “It is a padparadscha sapphire surrounded by ten brilliant cut diamonds and two pear cut diamonds to give an edge to the standard classic cluster. This beautiful gem is considered amongst the rarest and most valuable of all the corundum varieties.”

Well, we wouldn’t expect anything less from a royal engagement! Both weddings will surely be a spectacle, with a lot of people probably wondering what’s going on with Princess Beatrice, who everyone has suddenly taken interest in. But, we’ll be more focused on the dresses, Meghan’s designs have already been leaked — it’s only a matter of time until the words out about Eugenie’s gown!
