Ever since Princess Eugenie‘s fiance, Jack Brooksbank, asked for the royal’s hand in marriage earlier this year, she has been steadily planning their dream wedding. While Eugenie’s cousin, Prince William, is expected to attend the lavish event this October, his wife, Kate Middleton, may not be able to make it for a very important reason.

According to the UK’s Express, Kate, 36, may not attend Eugenie’s joyous family occasion if her younger sister, Pippa Middleton, 34, gives birth to her first child around the royal wedding’s Friday, Oct. 12 date.

Pippa announced that she is pregnant with her first child in early June and she’s expected to welcome her baby in October. Since Pippa rushed to her older sister’s side when Kate recently gave birth to her third royal baby, Prince Louis, in April, Kate will most likely be present when Pippa is ready to give birth too.

The siblings are so close that Pippa has already been asking Kate for baby advice. “They confide in each other about everything,” a source previously told Life & Style. “When they were younger they’d always share stories about boys and school life. Now they’re sharing pregnancy stories.”

“She’s also given Pippa some of Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s hand-me-downs but is obviously keeping some for Louis and her next baby,” the source added. “Kate and Pippa have had so much fun shopping online for baby clothes and accessories!”

Kate has been giving Pippa all of her best pregnancy tips and before Kate gave birth, they both enjoyed being pregnant at the same time. Although Kate’s first priority is to her younger sister, she may still be able to make Eugenie and Jack’s royal wedding this fall — guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
