Princess Eugenie Is All Smiles Following News of Sister Princess Beatrice’s Royal Engagement

Lovin’ life! Princess Eugenie couldn’t be happier that her older sister, Princess Beatrice, will be getting married soon. Days after Beatrice announced her royal engagement to Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, her 29-year-old sis was spotted out and about in London looking happier than ever.

She left Claridges Hotel wearing a long black blazer and a light colorful scarf. Eugenie kept smiling until she reached her car outside and left to her next destination. After all, who can be upset that another royal wedding will be happening? Eugenie sure isn’t, and she probably knows that she’ll be the maid of honor at her sister’s wedding when the time comes.

On Thursday, September 26, the official Instagram account of the British royal family, announced Beatrice’s engagement to her beau. “The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York to Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi,” the statement read. “Her Royal Highness and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi became engaged while away for the weekend in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020. Further details will be announced in due course.”

Eugenie took a couple of cute photos of Beatrice and Edoardo together and her sister decided to use those photos to announce her engagement to the world. “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married,”Beatrice and her fiancé said. “We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

Of course Beatrice’s parents — Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson — also released a statement about the great news and in it they said they’re “thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged.” They’re also “lucky” to be the “parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man.”

Beatrice is so lucky to have Eugenie as as sister. She’ll always have her back!
