During the show, Bashir — who previously won a BAFTA Award in 1996 for his prior, tell-all interview with the People’s Princess — will speak with individuals from inside Diana’s circle of friends and confidants about her “relationships, romance, the press, and the public eye.”

“Those who knew her best told us that it was no fluke Diana became the most glamorous woman in the world. She had exceptional intuition, street smarts and a charisma that no one could resist,” the special’s executive producer Terence Wrong revealed.

The two-hour show will also feature details about Diana’s romances with Dodi al-Fayed and Hasnat Khan. Following her August 1996 divorce from Charles, Diana began secretly dating Kahn — a British-Pakistani heart surgeon — for nearly two years.
