Queen Elizabeth may be “in charge” of the royal family, but she’s not the only one with leadership skills! According to the British monarch, Princess Charlotte bosses around her big brother, Prince George!
At the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, she spoke with a mother and her two daughters. She asked 10-year-old Emily Clay (the schoolgirl won a bible signed by Elizabeth during a school religious education project) if she looked over her six-year-old sister, Hadleigh, and the mom replied, “It’s the other way around.”
And Elizabeth’s response was priceless! “It’s like that with Charlotte and George,” she quipped, according to People. How cute is that?! We’d love to see an interaction between the two, that’s for sure!
To be honest, we’re not surprised that Charlotte is in charge! In a recent interview, her father, Prince William, candidly revealed that he thinks his two-year-old girl will be “trouble!” when she gets older. “She’s going to be trouble when she gets older,” the 35-year-old shared in September. “All fathers say that to me — watch out for the little girls.”
However, William still feels that George, 4, is the boss when it comes to his little sister! When talking about George starting school, William shared, “George has been really easy. He hasn’t said, ‘Have I got to do this for the rest of my life?’ George rules the roost but Charlotte’s not far behind.”
Regardless of which sibling is the boss, Kate Middleton — who is pregnant with baby No. 3! — has shared that there are always challenges when it comes to motherhood. “Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge — even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not,” she shared in March. “Nothing can really prepare you for you the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love and worry, all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight. You go from thinking of yourself as primarily an individual to suddenly being a mother, first and foremost.” We think you’re doing great, Kate!
