AwwPrincess Charlotte Looks All Grown Up in New Royal Birthday Portraits Taken By Mom Kate Middleton

Can you believe Princess Charlotte is already 4 years old?! In honor of the adorable youngster’s fourth birthday on May 2, Kensington Palace and the royal family have officially released new portraits taken by her mom, Kate Middleton — and we can’t get over how grown up she looks!

In the sweet snapshots, Charlotte can be seen smiling and running around a field at Prince William and Kate’s home in Norfolk, England. The photos, which were taken earlier this month at Anmer Hall to mark the grand occasion, showcase Charlotte’s infectious personality and beaming curiosity for life.

In the pics, the middle child of William, 36, and Kate, 37, looked like a little mini-me of her parents! Charlotte, who is also the sister to Prince George, 5, and Prince Louis, 1, donned two adorable ensembles while showing off that heartwarming charisma that she is known for.

In one of the images, Charlotte can be seen straddling a wood rail fence while giving a subtle smile to the camera. The super-cute royal looked like a mini-teenager as she wore a black turtleneck underneath a gray-speckled wool sweater paired with navy blue stockings, a matching plaid skirt and her tied up in a ponytail. While wearing the same outfit, a second portrait showed her excitedly running around a field filled with beautiful yellow flowers. She is such a little fashionista!

Kensington Palace also released two other photos of the birthday girl as she sweetly smiled into the camera while resting in the grass. Charlotte — who is fourth in the line of succession to the British throne — donned a bright and colorful floral dress with matching blue sneakers and her hair tied half-up-half-down with a bow. The brunette beauty looked like daddy’s little twin as she posed with her arms barely squeezing her knees just enough to grasp them. So cute!

It seems like some of the royals have already been celebrating Charlotte’s milestone birthday. A source close to Kate, William and their brood recently revealed that, when George found out her birthday was approaching, he took it upon himself to create the best birthday gift she has ever seen.

“George made Charlotte a birthday card at school and signed it himself, with the help of his teachers!” a source recently told Closer Weekly in an exclusive new interview. “He’s such a thoughtful little boy and spent hours trying to choose a gift for his little sister and couldn’t decide between a book and a huge stuffed bear so Kate ended up buying both!”

We can’t imagine what other sweet gifts Charlotte got for this milestone birthday!
