How cool is this?! On Wednesday, September 11, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla tried their hand at lawn bowls when they visited a coastal village in Scotland. Once they got the game going, they were all smiles on the field.

For the outing, Charles, 70, wore a tartan kilt with a lovely white shirt and red tie that he had underneath a black blazer. The Prince of Wales also kept himself cozy by wearing a pair of leg warmers in the chilly fall weather.

Camilla, 72, on the other hand, wore a gorgeous knee-length dress that underneath a black blazer. She was also spotted standing on the field in a pair of black and white pumps that made her look a little taller than usual.

In Scotland, Prince Charles is actually known as The Duke of Rothesay. During his trip to the beautiful country, Charles also attended the 150th Glenisla Highland Games in Angus.

According to Charles and Camilla’s official Instagram account, Clarence House, the Glenisla Highland Games are “organized by the Glenisla Highland and Friendly Society” and they “aim to preserve the language, music, games and dress of the Highlands of Scotland.”

“The event delivers a traditional program, including piping, Highland Dancing, heavy athletics and tug o’ war,” the post read. “During HRH’s visit, the duke watched the opening parade led by the Dundee City Pipe Band and met committee members, competitors and spectators.” Sounds like fun!

After Charles and Camilla attended the Glenisla Highland Games, they went to Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland to visit the Bladnoch Distillery.

“The Duke toured the production area and Their Royal Highnesses tasted some whisky before officially opening the new visitor centre,” another post reads.

However, the couple had the most fun when they attended the Garlieston Secret War’ exhibition together. Apparently, it “tells the story of the coastal town’s important role in D-Day preparations in 1994.”
