The garden proposal comes from Historic Royal Palaces, the charity that runs the public areas of the palace. The new outdoor space is reportedly just one of several initiatives to honor Princess Diana ahead of the 20th anniversary of her 1997 death.
"The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry are being kept informed of the garden project, which is in the very early stages of development," a Kensington Palace spokesperson told People.
