It seems the royals are more like us than we thought! During their royal tour in Sweden, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s stopped at the National Museum of Architecture and Design in Stockholm. While there, the couple was given a tour of an exhibition of young Swedish designers by Marcus Engman, Ikea’s head of design. It was then that Kate, 36, and William, 35, revealed that they have Ikea furniture in their home! Hm, excuse us while we run to the nearest Ikea store…

The duo confessed that both Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s rooms were outfitted with pieces by the Swedish homeware store. “I’m proud that we can suit everybody,” Marcus told the press.

Ahead of meeting William and Kate, Marcus said, “It would be nice to know if they have any Ikea furniture. I know that the royals in Sweden have. Why would it not be possible for them? There is a great variety. Our beds are really good and affordable. You get a lot for your money there.” Apparently, the couple agrees!

Kate and William moved into their apartment at Kensington Palace last year to be close to Prince George’s school and Prince Charlotte’s nursery school. Their home was decorated by celebrated interior designer Ben Pentreath. We can’t wait to hear if the royals will be decorating their new nursery for baby No. 3 with more affordable items from Ikea!
