At 16-months-old, Prince George is likely no stranger to running around Kensington Palace with his royal parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

So when William, 32, was given a pair of Christmas bells from a 9-year-old fan at an event in London on Wednesday, he knew just what he would do with the noisemakers.

“We’ll put these in [George’s] pockets and then we’ll know where he is in the house!” The Duke of Cambridge joked to the little boy after receiving the red, holiday bells.

Prince William was visiting schoolchildren at three primary schools near London to see projects the students recently created in honor of Remembrance Day, a World War I memorial day observed by Britain’s Commonwealth of Nations.

William is “really engaging with the children,” Keri-Anne Payne, an ambassador for the charity involving schools in the Remembrance Day project, told People.
