The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are getting the best present ever for their fourth wedding anniversary!
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2015,” Kensington Palace announced in a short statement this morning.
The new announcement also inadvertently debunked recent speculation that Kate Middleton and Prince William may be pregnant with twins.
The palace statement additionally provided an update on Kate’s health: “The Duchess of Cambridge continues to be affected by Hyperemisis Gravidarum, but her condition is steadily improving,” it read.
While expecting the couple’s first child, Prince George, Kate similarly battled severe morning sickness and was unable to fulfill any royal engagements or appearances early in her pregnancy as a result. The Duchess has not yet been seen in public since the palace announced she was expecting the pair’s second child in early September.
The baby’s April due date will only add to the month already filled with celebration for the Royal Family: Kate and Will are set to ring in their fourth wedding anniversary on April 29 and Queen Elizabeth II will turn 89 on April 21!
