Prince William and Duchess Kate Are ‘Closer Than Ever’ Following Harry and Meghan’s Departure
Talk about being a tight-knit couple! Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to take a step back from the royal family, Prince William and Kate Middleton have found themselves forming an even stronger bond.
“The Cambridges are busier than ever since [Megxit], but they’re working as a team and supporting each other,” a source exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “They’re actually closer than ever.” The insider also reveals that Kate, 38, and William, 37, have noticed that having some distance from Harry, 35, and the former actress, 38, have relived tension brought on by the groups’ apparent feud.
“It’s made both Kate and William realize how lucky they are to have each other to rely on,” the insider continues. “When Kate feels exhausted, William will look after their three kids or massage her shoulders, little things like that. He appreciates the effort she’s ma k ing not only with him, but with his family. Now more than ever, William says he couldn’t survive without her!” So great!
Aside from focusing on each other, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are also aiming to spend more time with their children — Prince George, 6; Princess Charlotte, 4; and Prince Louis, 1 — now that the two eldest little ones will soon be taking time off from school, a decision that Queen Elizabeth is completely all about.
“Kate and William have been allocated more duties since the royal shake up but they’re trying not to let work to get in the way of their family time. That’s why they’re taking time off to spend with the kids over half term,” an insider previously told Closer exclusively. “They’ve set boundaries and the Queen is on their side. She’s supportive of their decision.”
“One major thing the Queen’s learned from the recent drama surrounding her family is how communication, closeness and being supportive of each other is the key to building a strong monarchy,” the source added.
