For Prince Philip‘s 99th birthday, he’s going to have a “Zoom party” with his closest family members, an insider exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “[Prince] Charles, Camilla [Parker Bowles,] [Queen Elizabeth,] Kate [Middleton] and [Prince] William will be on the call, and [Prince] Harry and Meghan [Markle] plan to call him from L.A., too.”

The video chat is being “planned” by the monarch and Prince William. Once it’s over, the Duke of Edinburgh will do something “very low-key” with his wife at Windsor Castle. “The two of them will enjoy a nice birthday lunch together, cooked by the royal chef, who’s also baking him a chocolate cake. There won’t be any candles on it though!” the insider reveals. “If Prince Philip is feeling up to it, he’ll go for a walk with the queen in the grounds of Windsor Castle and spend some time in the garden.”

“Prince Philip’s never been a fan of big birthday parties,” the source adds. “So he’s happy to be celebrating turning 99 years old with just the queen by his side.

With so much planned, Prince Philip might need to take it easy on his birthday. The insider reveals he “hasn’t been very well recently” and fans have been concerned about his health since he was discharged from King Edward VII Hospital in December 2019.

According to Us Weekly, Philip was admitted for “observation and treatment in relation to a pre-existing condition.” However, after spending four days there, he was sent home and was able to spend Christmas with his loved ones.

“The queen is worried sick,” an insider told Closer at the time. “She can’t imagine what life will be like without her husband in it.” Because of his declining health, Queen Elizabeth has been “cherishing every moment she has left with him,” a third source added. But now that Philip is home and has been carefully watching his health amid the coronavirus pandemic, he seems to be doing much better.

We hope he’s having the best time ever on his birthday!
