If Prince Harry wants to get married anytime soon, he's going to need his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's permission!
If the red-headed royal decides to propose to his girlfriend, Meghan Markle, the 90-year-old monarch must first give her blessing to the couple.
Aside from the respect aspect, there was a law first created in 1772 that gave the monarch the right to ban the marriage of any of his or her family members. Since then, that law has been repealed and become more relaxed.

However, the original law still applies to the first six people in line for the throne, which as of now are Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Harry, and Prince Andrew. That said, Harry, 32, will have to check in with granny before putting a ring on Meghan's finger!
Though Harry has yet to introduce her to the Queen, last month, Meghan reportedly met Harry's sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, and niece, Charlotte, for the first time. "Kate was really looking forward to meeting Meghan and she knew how important it was to Harry," a source said. "They are very close and he really values her opinion on girlfriends."

"Obviously Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, died when he was very young so Kate really fulfills that older sister/maternal role," the pal continued. "It went really well and Meghan was very excited about meeting her."
"[Meghan] got to play with Charlotte who she just adored," the friend added. "This just shows how serious Harry is. He wants to take their relationship to the next level."
And that's not all! The duo has allegedly "virtually moved in together." "They've taken things to the next level. They're practically living together," a source revealed to The Sun.
"I can see them engaged by spring," another royal family friend recently confessed. "I know that sounds a bit crazily soon, but he’s head over heels and they can’t bear to be apart."
