Prince Harry Reveals the Special Person Who Helped Him Gain Confidence After His Mom Princess Diana’s Death

Prince Harry has revealed one special person in his life helped him cope with his mom Princess Diana‘s tragic 1997 death.

Eight years after Diana’s passing from a devastating car crash, Harry enrolled in the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst at age 21. It was during this schooling that he met an army sergeant — whom Harry has not publicly named — who became his personal mentor.

“I lost my mum when I was very young and suddenly I was surrounded by a huge number of men in the army,” the 32-year-old said during a royal outing in Scotland on Tuesday, Sept. 20. “I was at a stage in my life when I was probably lacking a bit in guidance.”
