Basically, Prince Harry has always been perfect. Even before his relationship with Meghan Markle went public (we seriously cannot remember a time when the two weren’t the Duke and Duchess of Sussex), the red-headed royal allegedly gifted the former actress with something very sweet and romantic.

According to People, in October 2016, Harry, 33, purchased a piece of artwork titled Everybody Needs Somebody To Love by British artist Van Donna for thousands (it’s unclear exactly how much he spent, but a similar Van Donna piece sold at Christie’s in 2016 for $5,000).

It was for “an important person” at the time and oddly enough, it was just a few days before everyone learned he and the Suits star were officially together. That said, it’s hard not to think the present was for Meg, 37, although it’s never been confirmed if it was or not.

He allegedly purchased the art at the VIP section of Walton Fine Arts gallery in London. “Harry is one of the regulars in the area and regularly goes into the shops and galleries with his bodyguard, kind of in stealth mode,” a local art collector told the news outlet. “He was in the gallery for a little while and liked a few things, then settled on the Van Donna. He said he was looking for something for ‘an important person.’ It was literally just before anyone heard about Meghan — literally just days before it was announced he was going out with her.”

The piece of artwork is a diptych, meaning the canvas is split up into two different pieces of art. In Harry’s case, one side shows a man and woman holding hands while the other reads the phrase “Everybody Needs Someone To Love.” The art collector added, “Harry asked if he could split the diptych up. He said, ‘If it’s possible?'”

We bet Meghan loved it! That said, we’re just dying to know if the art is hanging up at Nottingham Cottage.
