Oh No!Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Plane Allegedly Forced To Abort Landing In Sydney
So scary! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle traveled from Tonga back to Sydney on Friday, Oct. 26 as part of their royal tour, but their flight allegedly didn’t exactly go as planned.
As the royal couple’s Qantas Airlines flight began its descent into the Sydney airport, the pilots were allegedly forced to change course and abort the landing, Evening Standard reported. According to many royal reporters on board, the pilot had to tell the passengers that there was a change of plans because another plane hadn’t yet cleared the runway, describing it as “missed approach.” He then looked on the bright side by noting that at least they would “get another great view of the [Sydney] harbour.”
The plane “circled around and were on the ground within 10 minutes,” Sky News royal producer Valerie Hamill, noted, adding that the situation was “not scary.” She assured that “no one was concerned, the move was jovial on board. We’d all had a lovely flight. At no point was there any question of our safety.” Phew! We’re so glad the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and everyone else on board are ok.

Meg and Harry are currently on day 11 of their busy 16-day overseas venture. After spending a few days in Tonga, the duo flew back to Sydney for a few days before they begin the last leg of their tour in New Zealand starting Sunday, Oct. 28. And even though there were reportedly some difficulties with their flight, they made it there in good time considering Meg presented awards at the Australian Geographic Society Awards at the Grand Ballroom, Shangri-La Hotel later that night.
However, we bet pregnant Meghan is starting to feel exhausted from all of this travel and appearances. Perhaps that’s why she’s allegedly cutting back appearances during their first tour together. “We have to try to pace her. We have to make sure she is well paced and not overdoing it,” an insider told Us Weekly. “We want to make sure she gets enough rest at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day.” The tour concludes on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
