It was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding day, but the groom’s niece and nephew, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, stole the show! Kate Middleton and Prince William’s adorable four-year-old son, George, and three-year-old daughter, Charlotte, served as a page boy and bridesmaid, respectively, at Harry and Meghan’s Saturday, May 19 nuptials at Windsor Castle.

During a previous interview, a palace spokesperson told the Sunday Times that George and Charlotte would have a big part in the royal nuptials. “The wedding will be a family event. You can expect the family to be involved,” the source said, adding that the youngsters had met their future aunt “many times” before the wedding.

Harry and Meghan had 10 children in their wedding party that joined George and Charlotte in special roles. The other bridesmaids included three-year-old Miss Florence van Cutsem, who is Prince Harry’s goddaughter and the daughter of Mrs. Alice van Cutsem and Major Nicholas van Cutsem. Harry’s other goddaughter, two-year-old Miss Zalie Warren, was also in the wedding. She’s the daughter of Mrs. Zoe Warren and Mr. Jake Warren.

Meghan’s goddaughter, Miss Remi Litt, 6, joined the party as well. She’s the daughter of Mrs. Benita Litt and Mr. Darren Litt. Remi’s older sister, Miss Rylan Litt, 7, was also a bridesmaid. Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney wasn’t in the wedding, but her daughter, four-year-old Ivy Mulroney, was in the bridal party.

As for the page boys, joining Prince George was Prince Harry’s godson, six-year-old Master Jasper Dyer, who is the son of Mrs. Amanda Dyer and Mr. Mark Dyer M.V.O. Meghan and Jess must be really close, because the bride also included her seven-year-old twin sons, Master Brian Mulroney and Master John Mulroney, in the wedding party as well.

In a previous interview with BRIDES magazine, royal wedding expert Stephanie Staub explained what bridesmaids and page boys typically wear in British royal weddings. “Flower girls usually wear long silk dresses with puff sleeves and a sash tying in a big bow at the back. The perfect princess dress every little girl dreams of!” Staub explained. “Depending on the age of the page boys, we can expect them to wear silk breeches if they are young of age, or trousers if a bit older. A cummerbund and a Peter Pan collar or officer collar shirt completes the look. Both Princess Diana’s and Kate Middleton’s flower girls, for example, wore ivory silk flower girl dresses, with their page boys donning military jackets.”

Harry and Meghan’s wedding isn’t the first royal nuptials that George and Charlotte have been a big part of. When their aunt Pippa Middleton got married in May 2017, the sibling duo served as a flower girl and page boy. Charlotte looked adorable in a white puffy dress with a pink waistband and a flower tiara while George looked dapper in a pair of gold trousers, high white socks, and a white long-sleeve button up with gold embellishments.
