Baby Shai is already following in his famous parents’ footsteps!

Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy‘s one-month-old son made his TV debut on Good Morning America on Friday, Feb. 17 — and looked so adorable with his proud mom and dad!

“This is little Shai!” Peta, 30, told GMA host Paula Faris in the pre-taped segment as she welcomed the journalist into their home. “Who does he look more like, mom or dad?” Paula asked to which Peta replied, “I would have to say me.”

“I was hoping that he’d look like me and have her personality,” Maks, 37, joked. “I’m just worried a little bit now because he looks like her.”

“This is the first time everyone is going to see your baby — how do you feel about that?” Paula asked the Dancing With the Stars couple. “It’s nerve-wracking. Because we — I specifically — wanted to keep him very private from the beginning. Because, you know, we just want to keep him for ourselves,” Peta said.

Peta and Maksim welcomed baby Shai, their first child, on Jan. 4, 2017. “Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy. 01/04/17. 5:34 a.m.,” Maks announced on Twitter following his son’s birth.

Rumors first swirled the pro dancers were expecting their first baby together in May 2016. The duo later confirmed the exciting news on Instagram one month later. “We couldn’t be happier. ❤️Baby Chmerkovskiy is coming,” Peta captioned a sweet snapshot of Maks kissing her tiny baby bump.

The DWTS couple first became an item in 2012 and dated for 10 months before calling it quits. They later rekindled their romance and Maks popped the question to Peta in December 2015. They plan to tie the knot in July 2017.

As for wedding planning, Peta admitted she’s no longer worried about her big day being perfect. “It’s not about me anymore. It’s all about Shai. It’s amazing. I’m okay with it,” she said.

So, do Peta and Maksim hope their baby boy becomes a dancer in the future? “I hope never,” the new dad said on GMA, with Peta adding she hopes Shai isn’t interested in dancing. Too funny!
