Actress Penelope Cruz is a doting mother to son Leonardo, who turns 3 in January, and daughter Luna, 5 months, and there’s one aspect of motherhood that the actress has really come to enjoy!

“[Nursing] is addictive,” Cruz tells Allure magazine in their latest issue. “I was breastfeeding my son for 13 months, and I plan to do the same with my daughter.”

Cruz, who is married to fellow actor Javier Bardem, admits to the mag, “It’s hard when the day comes when you have to stop.”

“The Counselor” star also shares special memories from her childhood and how it has affected her decision to start her own family. “I always knew I wanted a family because of the way I grew up,” she says. “Family has always been the most important thing.”

The actress, who was the oldest of three, adds, “In my house every Sunday, everybody was cleaning the house. There was always music, and everybody was dancing, sometimes naked, around the house. Not hippie, but very free.”

Another star who loves to breastfeed? Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, who went so far as to declare that nursing one’s child should become a law!

“Some people [in the U.S.] think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child, when they are so little?’ the mom of two told Harper’s Bazaar UK in 2010. “There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”

Not surprisingly, the model’s opinions got quite a bit of criticism. As did a recent picture that she posted on Twitter which showed the 33-year-old breastfeeding daughter Vivian as she got her hair and nails done.

“What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking #gettingready,” Bundchen captioned the photo.

Suffice it to say, a lot of mothers had a bone to pick with model Gisele and her beauty squad.
