Patricia Arquette is an Oscar winner, but she’s still scratching her head at her 2019 Golden Globes nomination.

The 50-year-old actress was recently at the BAFTA tea event on Jan. 5, and spoke about how she still can’t believe she was nominated for her role in the Showtime series Escape at Dannemore. “Just getting ready and going,” Patricia, who plays Tilly Mitchell in the series, told Us Weekly. “I mean really I’ve been in denial about all of this until about an hour ago.” The Boyhood star continued, “And then I started having a low-grade anxiety attack that I’m hiding while we speak. Yeah, so I don’t know I need to figure out — I just I’m not comfortable really getting all dressed up — I’m kind of an overalls person, so I have to push pass [sic] my comfort level.”

And even though she might be filled with nerves, Patricia is still “a bit excited about it.” She added that it will be “so great to go celebrate this show we worked so hard on.” Patricia may be getting recognized for her fantastic work in the mini-series, but she recently revealed that she doesn’t worry too much about making herself likable to others. She told The Telegraph, “It’s a burden people put so much more often upon women — and actresses — than they do upon men.” The mother-of-two added, “‘Is she likable? How can we make her likable? How do we make people empathize with her?’ I don’t care about that. It’s liberating to not worry about being likable.”

The show, directed by Ben Stiller, also stars Benicio Del Toro and Paul Dano as the criminals Patricia’s character helps escape from prison. Aside from Patricia, the show was also nominated for Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

You can see if Patricia takes home the award when the Golden Globes air on Jan. 6 on NBC.
