Palace Aides Are Reportedly Telling Meghan Markle She Needs To Dress ‘More Like A Royal’

After spending months trying to fit in, Meghan Markle is allegedly still having a hard time abiding by the rules at Kensington Palace. According to a new Daily Mail report, palace aides think that Meghan isn’t dressing like she’s the Duchess of Sussex but rather like she’s still a star on the USA drama Suits.

“Meghan is being told she needs to start dressing less like a Hollywood star and more like a royal,” a source recently revealed, adding that Queen Elizabeth agrees with that sentiment.

Interestingly, Meghan’s fashion sense has apparently caught the Queen’s attention ever since she wore a white gown to her royal wedding with Prince Harry. Queen Elizabeth reportedly thought that Meghan, 37, should have chosen a different color dress since her May nuptials were her second wedding. But, “Hurricane Meghan” decided to do it her own way and wore her dress exactly how she wanted.

Meghan, who is obviously no stranger to breaking royal protocol, also likes to wear black, a color that is usually only worn by royals while they’re in mourning. The “fashion teams” at the palace additionally didn’t let it go unnoticed that Meghan wore a black tuxedo while attending a special performance of Hamilton earlier this year or that she wore an airy dress that featured a thigh-high slit during day seven of her first royal tour with Prince Harry.

Six months after her royal wedding, Meghan is said to be shaking up the rules at Kensington Palace and putting her own California style on everything. The Daily Mail also reported that Meghan has been waking up before the rest of the royals at 5 a.m and texting palace aides repeatedly throughout the day with “ideas and requests.”

Not to mention that she’s allegedly already been trying to secretly meet the British people “with good causes” by conducting a series of “undercover” missions as part of her royal work. Meghan’s American attitude has definitely caused a lot of attention at the palace — and we love her for it!
